Mrs. Marie Monette Demesyeux, 43, of Westbury, New York departed from this life on Monday, July 14, 2014. Born on July 12, 1971, in Ptionville, Haiti, she was the daughter of Francius Mingot and the late Auriana Mingot who preceded her in death on April 26, 2014.

Monette was educated in Haiti and New York where she attended University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, and graduated from Empire State College (SUNY) with a Bachelor of Science degree in early childhood education. After several years as an insurance broker and an office representative for State Farm Insurance Company, she decided to pursue her dream. Passionate about children, she began her own day care center focused on early childhood development and education. She was also a member of the Childcare Council of Nassau, Inc.

Monette loved spending time with her family and they were her number one priority. She enjoyed homemaking, cooking, baking, sewing, and gardening.  She even volunteered at her girls' school's bingo night. Christmas was her favorite holiday and oftentimes started listening to her favorite holiday songs early in the fall well before the season started!

Monette and her life-long sweetheart, husband Pierre Baptiste Demesyeux, whom she met while attending Westbury High School, were united in holy matrimony on October 23, 1996. As their love grew, so did their family. God blessed them with three beautiful daughters: twin daughters Darcelle & Garcelle, ages 16, and Martine, age 7. In 1998, as a young married couple with the promise of love and trust, they joined St. Brigid’s Church.

Monette will be missed by all and leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband and their beloved children. Monette is also survived by her father, Francius Mingot, her siblings: Gladys Augustin, wife of Jonas Augustin, and her brother Jean Mingot, two nieces: Regine Augustin and Jenniesha Mingot, two twin nephews: Nael Augustin and Nathanael Augustin, cousins and special friends, Mary Alice Laurent, Johanne Jean and countless other cousins and extended family members.
