Betty Curran was born April 26, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York.
She graduated from Roosevelt Hospital Nursing School and continued to work there in the Emergency Room during the busy night shift.
Always adventurous, she was hired as the Nurse / Stewardess for Flying Tiger Airlines and was based in Belgium.
After her marriage to John Curran, Betty resided in Carle Place on Long Island and worked as a nurse at the (then) Nassau Hospital and raised her three children, Kathleen, Brian and Aileen.
Betty loved to travel and explore new places and cultures and made trips across the United States from coast to coast and as far away as China.
Betty was a member of The Rosary Society, The Audubon Society and volunteered at Tennis and Golf Tournaments.
So full of life, always well read, Betty enjoyed gourmet food, music and Family.
She is survived by her three children, Brother Richard Sand and his Family, her Grandchildren; Corinne and her husband Justin Greenfield, Dean Laino, Ian Laino and Natalie Laino.
