Sitting here thinking about how much time Billy spent with our family and it occurs to me he was more family than most family members. So many memories of him hitting in the kitchen in our Grand Street house or my Grandparents house on Fulton Street which would later become our home. Stopping in at the shop on Drexel Avenue on my way home from St. Brigids and seeing him there. BBQ's at our house or his & Pat's in Syosset. Of course the most memorable was the BBQ at Lee Bennets...that was a wild ride. Sure as the day is long there was a mob waiting to greet you each likely offering scotch on the rocks or a cold beer. A life well lived leaves so much for those left behind to talk about. Your Grandson Eric did you proud speaking in church on Friday. He was able to touch on so many aspects of your life. Rest easy Billy. God bless.

I have fond memories of "Billy" in my youth and through adulthood. My family was touched in many ways by him as more than an employee at Renison & Doyle. He was always a gentleman who would inquire about our individual status as each of Greg and Evelyn's 8 children grew and moved into adulthood. I always enjoyed seeing his handsome smile in the later years. I have a unique favorite memory of how talented Billy was at trimming the Azalea Bushes at my grandparents' residence.
Saying prayers of peace for the family and friends who will miss him.
With Love,
Cathy Doyle Hempson
