Matt was born in Middle Village, NY on March 3rd, 1965 and moved to Westbury on his birthday in 1969. He graduated from Rose Kennedy High School in 1986. From school he worked a variety of jobs, most of his work being with Wheatley Hills Gas Station. He would get up early and peddle his bike there and open up the shop where he would shovel any snow that had fallen and finish many other jobs before Mark, his boss would arrive.

Matt was a very loveable person who was always ready to hug everyone, and always with a smile. He loved to play practical jokes on you and then say he was just kidding. He also loved to buy scratch off tickets and to go to the Casinos, where he was pretty lucky. Matt was a joy to be with and everyone who knew him loved him.

I am very lucky and thankful to be his father - I could not have asked for, or gotten a better son. The worst thing that happened was losing him and I am going to miss him terribly. Now he is on his way to Heaven where Billy and Michelle are going to great him in a joyful reunion.
