Mary A. Fuchs

FUCHS - Mary A. of Westbury N.Y. on April 30, 2019 

On the morning of April 30th, 2019, Mary passed away peacefully at BelAir Nursing Home in Bellmore, NY with family by her side.  Mary was 75 years old.  Mary was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 28, 1943. Proud mother of Mary Therese Katz (Mitchell), and Lawrence J. (Deborah). Loving grandmother of Isabelle, Timothy, Benjamin, Sabrina, Elizabeth and Melissa. Loving sister-in-law to Judy Timulty and beloved aunt and cousin. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband Lawrence and her dear brother John Timulty.  

Mary was an employee of Catholic Medical Center for over 35 years including positions as a Registered Nurse, Nursing Supervisor and Director of Risk Management.  Mary retired from Fidelis Care in 2013 after 12 years of service.  Mary was an active parishioner of St. Brigid’s Roman Catholic Church and loved spending time with her close friends, including The Post stock/investment club, her book club and many other social events. 

We wish to offer special thanks to all the family and friends who were always at Mary’s side and for the wonderful care from the Hoag 5 team at NYU Winthrop University Hospital, BelAir Nursing Home and Helping Hearts at Home in Melville, NY. 

Family will receive friends on Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Donohue Cecere Funeral Home, 290 Post Ave., Westbury, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 9:45 AM at St. Brigid's R.C. Church, Westbury, NY. Interment St. Charles Cemetery.  www.donohue-cecere.com
