During these very trying times we at Donohue Cecere Funeral Home want to assure you that we have taken every precaution to provide a safe environment for you and your loved ones. Our location is cleaned and sanitized daily and we continue to follow best practices for social distancing and safety.
In accordance with Executive Order 202.17 (which requires any individual over age two, and able to medically tolerate a face-covering, be required to cover their nose and mouth with a mask or cloth face-covering when in a public place) we are required to follow this mandate or risk being shut down; therefore, all individuals entering our funeral home will be asked to wear a face mask or cloth face covering.
As of the latest update we are able to offer limited visitation periods in the funeral home for family and friends up to 40 people per session. Please be mindful when visiting during these sessions to limit the amount of time spent at the funeral home. This will give the opportunity for other family and friends to visit.
Mario Bellomo was born on March 14, 1943 in Brooklyn NY to the late Lucy and Edward Bellomo. He departed this life to be with his heavenly father on Friday May 28, 2021.
On September 5, 1965, he married Diana (Diane) Mattia and from this union they had two children, Timothy Bellomo and Diana (Bellomo) Foell.
They were blessed with three grandchildren, Steven and Kayla (Twins), and Emma.
Mario enjoyed the serenity of sitting on his deck, enjoying his pool. He enjoyed when the grandchildren joined him as he relaxed. Of course he loved watching the Mets and did not enjoy it when they lost.
Mario is survived by his dear wife Diane, his children, Timothy and Diana, Son-in-law Steven Foell, Daughter-in-law Michelle Bellomo, Brother-in-law Jerry Mattia Jr, His Brothers Joseph and Edward; Sister In Laws Virginia and Ingrid, Grandchildren, Steven, Kayla and Emma, Nephews, Joseph, Andrew and Peter, Nephews Matthew and David, and his cousins in Florida, Pennsylvania and California.
He will be greatly missed.
