I am deeply sorry to hear that Miss Pardee has passed away. She was not only my teacher at Juilliard, she was a nurturing guide. Her studio was like a family; somehow she managed to balance pushing all of us to be our best, while also connecting personally, and understanding what would make each student flourish. Her knowledge, caring and support continue to be with me. Always- Adela

Margaret Pardee was my violin teacher at Juilliard when I was a teenager. She was patient and warm. Unlike other teachers at Juiliard, she never gave her students away to junior instructors, but always taught us herself. I am very sad to hear of her passing.
