Lorenzia Weaver

September 5, 1956 ~ July 11, 2020 (age 63)

Thank you all very much for the outpouring of love and support that you have given us in this time of my father’s untimely passing. We can’t begin to tell you how the calls, texts, messages on social media, and visits have helped lift us up during this difficult time. Thank you!

Because of the strict COVID-19 laws and regulations that have been set, no more than 25-30 persons can gather at a time. We know that the width and breath of people that my father impacted far exceeds 30 people, so our family has decided to postpone services at this time. We want all who knew and loved him to meet and share in the joy of his life at a later time. You will be notified when the date is established.

Christopher .J. Weaver

Lorenzia Weaver affectionately known as Lorenzo or Bruh, was born September 5, 1956, to Major Weaver and Mary Lee Huffman. Lorenzo was the youngest of 7 children. His mother instilled strong morals and an honest work ethic in him.

In 1966, Lorenzo moved to Hempstead New York, where he would complete his education through the Hempstead public school system. In high school, he shinned as a star athlete in both football and track, so much so that he received an athletic scholarship to attend The Long Island University.

At age 21 he took a Custodial Superintendent position at Hempstead Associates, where he managed diligently until his untimely passing on July 11, 2020.

In the summer of 1986 Lorenzo was introduced to, Marcia Grant, an enchanting woman from the island of Jamacia. Fast forward 3 years, on March 31, 1988, Marcia would give birth to their only son & his pride and joy Christopher Weaver. September 23, 1989 Marcia and Lorenzo were united in Holy Matrimony.

Lorenzo had such a passion for music and cooking; He loved to put his records on and fill the room with sweet melodies and delicious scents. He always said “cooking is my stress reliver”.

Lorenzo is preceded in death by his brother Adolf, mother Mary Lee Weaver, brother Willie, his nephew Willie, niece Stephanie and sister Elma. Bruh leaves to mourn his Wife Marcia, Son Christopher, Brothers Donald and Arthur, Twin Sister Loretta, father-in-law Vincent, mother-in-law Orinthia and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Loved ones.

Over the span of 63 years, he touched countless lives with his laughter, cooking, and his smile. He will truly live on forever in our hearts, thoughts, and spirits.
