Joseph J. Clinton

Clinton, Joseph John of Westbury, NY on January 25, 2020 in his 87th year. Born in Hempstead on March 19, 1932. Graduated Manhattan College ’54 (BA). Served in the Army from 1955 to 1957. He went on to receive his master at Hofstra University ’60 Master of Science Education. He was a History teacher in Huntington Schools for 33 years and a Lifeguard at Jones Beach for over 30 years. He was a lifelong member of Saint Brigid’s R.C. Church in Westbury and a resident of Cherry Grove the summers of his retirement years . Loving son of (late) Joseph John Clinton and (late) Madelyn Dowling Clinton. Beloved husband of Michael Halliday. Fond grand uncle of Joseph Waring and others. An event will be planned for the Fire Island community Memorial Day weekend. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Brigid’s RC Church, Westbury,N.Y. or the Cherry Grove Fire Department.
