My condolences go out to John Ringen's family. I knew John, as a part-time instructor at NYIT, and he introduced me to his methods of quantitative analysis. I will miss him, as we all will. Rest in peace, John and may the angels bless you always.
Your colleague,
John

I just read in the NYIT newsletter about Dr. Ringen's passing. He was my favorite chemistry professor while enrolled at NYIT as a Life Science major. I was honored when he asked me to write a letter on his behalf for his tenure application.
Since returning to the States from the Peace Corps in 1980, I have not been back to the Old Westbury campus. I regret that decision now. My prayers to the family.

John Ringen PhD you will be terribly missed. I will pray for Nancy and hope she is being strong after this terrible loss.
You were both great supports in my life and the surrogate family I never had. Nancy, I hope you will be strong.
Thank you both for making my life better.
Thank you, thank you!

My heart is Joy-filled at the sure knowledge that our John is forever wrapped in the Holy Arms of Our Lord, reaping all that a gentle soul like he can sow, through his kind and gentlemanly ways. He can now help his beloved Nancy in ways that he never could before. And not wanting to be in Paradise without her, he will be waiting by those gates of pearl until she, herself, reaps all of her rewards, according to God’s schedule, and they walk hand in hand to experience what ‘no eye has seen nor ear heard’. Until then, our whole building, every brick and piece of stucco, and all her family within it’s walls, will surround her, and hug her with our hearts. This entire building took a hit when John winged his way to Heaven; yet his strong and gentle spirit will be here always, and serve as an example of what it means to be a true child of God. We are here for you, Nancy, whenever you need us; we are here for you if you don’t. Take good care and GOD BLESS.
