John Thomas Howley, age 76, native of Brooklyn, NY and resident of Panama City Beach, FL passed away on September 2, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Marjorie Howley and his wife Doreen. He is survived by his daughter Laura Field, son, James Howley and grandsons, Anthony and Joseph Field of Franklin Square, NY and siblings Peggy Meyer of Leland, NC, Gerry and Tom Carnevale of Fairhope, AL, and Tom and Jane Howley also of Leland NC. John graduated from Little Flower Grammar school in Brooklyn, NY where he sang in the Choir, and was an alter server. He enjoyed being a boy scout. He graduated from Nassau Community College. He loved the beach and hated the cold, hence, his relocation to Florida. He was passionate about his Harley, had the nickname John Harley, was a skilled crossword puzzler, enjoyed the History and National Geographic Channels. Excellent in trivia, he not only knew songs and groups but even the labels that produced them. He wrote poetry, enjoyed journaling and drawing cartoons. He worked for the city of NY, Enterprise, and was at LI Tribune as a reporter. John will be missed by many friends and family
