John R. Cetin

John Robert Cetin born February 3, 1938, a long-time resident of East Meadow, NY, passed with loving family by his side on May 30, 2018.

John is predeceased by his dear wife, Anne, who passed in 2014. He is survived by his adoring children  Robert (Shanna), Maria Smith (Michael) and John (Joan). Mr. Cetin is also the treasured grandfather of Leah, Brendan, Thomas, Dylan, Travis, Victoria and Kendall-lee.  John was also blessed with a close extended family and many cherished neighbors and friends.

Mr. Cetin was a life member (fifty years service) of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 15.  He was an avid fisherman who belonged to the Nick's Point Tuna Club, Merrick, NY. In his home workshop, John spent many hours tinkering, and making wooden bird houses and whirligigs.
