Domenick Joseph DiStefano passed away in New York on January 15, 2022 at the age of 82. With his death, a bright, shining light has been extinguished.
Domenick began his career as a plumber with U.S. Local 1, but always having an entrepreneurial spirit, went on to found D & D Limousine Services and worked there until his retirement. He was a gregarious, good-natured person who was always interested in hearing about the stories of others. If you met Dom, you would never forget him. Dom had a way of lifting people up, making every interaction full of energy and always entertaining. He was kind, generous, all-giving and even outright silly at times. Domenick loved travel, adventure and the outdoors. However, his greatest joy in life was his loving wife, children and grandchildren. He fiercely protected his family and was selfless in his devotion to them. Domenick would do anything for his loved ones, and no task was insurmountable.
Domenick is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Judith Ann (nee Ford), his children, Dawn Sanok (Jeff), Gregory Vincent (Miho), his five grandchildren, Brittany, Kyle and Tyler Sanok, Cody and Emilia DiStefano, along with his two siblings, Connie Campisi (Ralph) and Anthony DiStefano. He is preceded in death by his wonderful parents, Vincenzo and Valentina DiStefano and his sister Anna LaViolette (late Albert).
For those who knew him, the depth of our loss is apparent. His constant and infectious smile may have faded from our view, but will forever remain in our hearts.
We will dearly miss you.
