In loving Memory of Carmela Marie Nardine who passed on Monday February 27, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Carmela (Connie) Nardine was born on July 17, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY to Rose and Frank Romano. She married John Harold Nardine, a Marine World War II veteran on June 17, 1943. They raised their family in South Flora Park, then Floral Park. She was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She worked for many years at Floral Park Memorial High School as a baker and later as the cafeteria manager. Connie enjoyed crocheting and knitting blankets and baby sweater sets for friends and family. Lucky Connie enjoyed playing cards and bingo with her many dear friends. Carmela is predeceased by her loving husband of 36 years. She is survived by her loving children, John (Rocca), Dorothy (Pete), Rosanne (Ken), loving grandchildren, John (Theresa), Denise (Mark), Debbie (Charlie), Peter (Monica), Beth (Ely), Brian (Agata), loving great grandchildren, Cristina, Alessia, Emma, Julia, Crystal, Kristen, Charlie, Tessa, Daniel, Sebastian, Carmela, Emil, Gia, and Bella.
