So very sorry for your loss. I was a student of Mr. Rafter’s at Westbury Junior High and he was one of those special teachers that you never forget. I believe it was his first year teaching when I was in his class. Can still remember studying “The Old and the Sea” in his class. I’ll never forget him, thoughts and prayers with his family.

Very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Rafter. I Had him as an English Teacher in Westbury Jr High School, I believe it was the first year he was teaching there. He was tough but he was good. My sympathy to all his family and friends. RIP
