Lione, Madeline of Carle Place, NY passed away on Sunday, June 11, surrounded by her loving family. Madeline was born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Vito Intravaia and Rose (Pinto) Intravaia. Madeline married Michael, the love her life and together they dedicated themselves to each other and their family.

She was a genuinely beautiful and loving person. Madeline's greatest joy was spending time in the company of her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She held a deep place in so many of our hearts whether we knew her as Madeline, Maddy, Mad or Mimi. Madeline enriched the lives of many and she will be deeply missed. She had deep faith and was the strongest fighter we knew. She was a tiny woman who fought extremely hard to the very end. She taught us to be courageous and to fight adversity and illness. She was the life of the dance floor and we all know she will be dancing her way to heaven.

Madeline leaves behind her husband Michael, her two daughters; Jeanette Hickey and her husband, Patrick Hickey, of Mokena, IL and Kristan Watson and her husband, Chris, of Rye, NY; and five grandchildren, Madeline, Kate, Monica, Savanna and John. In addition, she leaves one brother, Eddie Mandell and two sisters, Joan Schwab and Denise Beck as well as her extended family.

Visiting hours will be at Donohue Cecere Funeral Home, Westbury, NY on June 14, from 2:00 to 4:30 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Hope in Carle Place on June 15 at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Rood, Westbury, NY.
