Gary Yen On Dec. 24, 2017, Gary Yen, 86, of Scotch Plains, N.J., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his wife of 56 years, Andrea, his daughters, Gabrielle Yen and Giselle Rose, and his grandchildren, Allison and Jack Rose. Born in Shanghai, he lived in Taiwan and Hong Kong before emigrating with his family to New York in 1968 and then moving to New Jersey in 1998. His love of planes and flying led him to a successful 35-plus year career in the air cargo industry. After retiring, he enjoyed travelling with longtime friends, spending time with family, and playing mah- jongg. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at Donohue-Cesere Funeral Home, 290 Post Ave., Westbury, N.Y., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Holy Rood Cemetery, 111 Old Country Rd., Westbury, N.Y. at 2 p.m.
